The Booze Bus offers free bus tours to our warehouse just across the US border so Ontario residents can save up to 40% on LCBO prices. Each Ontario resident is allowed to import up to 45 litres of alcohol across the border. Even after paying import duties and taxes, Booze Bus patrons can look forward to saving an average of $800. This is how the Booze Bus works…
Step 1: Book your seat
The Booze Bus fills up quickly, so make a booking prior to boarding. Book online at https://boozesbus.ca/booking/ or call 1-866-692-6693. You DO NOT need to make a payment in order to book. The bus ride is FREE!
For the booking, you must:
- Be an Ontario resident 19 years of age or older
- Use that liquor for personal use only (no resale permitted)
- Have a valid passport
Have the following information ready:
- Name, as it appears on your licence
- Date of birth
- Phone number
- Address
- Your selected departure date & location
Step 2: Place your advance order
When you book, you’ll receive an email with a link to our online projected order form so you can select the spirits you would like to purchase. You are legally allowed to purchase up to 45 litres of alcohol in a single trip. No payment is required at this time. See prices and options here.
Step 3: Catch the Bus
Be at the bus stop in time for your departure
Hamilton BOOZE BUS: Buffalo Wild Wings (on the Walmart premises), 524 Centennial Parkway North, L8E 0G2. Depart 7:30am. Duration: 4 hours.
Niagara on the Lake BOOZE BUS: Clare’s Harley Davidson, 590 York Rd, L0S 1J0, depart 8:05am. Duration: 3 hours.
Drive to our U.S. Customs Bonded Warehouse, Lang Blvd, Grand Island, N.Y.
Step 4: Cross the Border
We help with every step here, all you need is:
- A valid passport
- Proof of vaccination at least 14 days prior to departure
Step 5: Pick up your order
The Booze bus stops at our warehouse in Grand Island NY. While we load the bus with your order, enjoy a drink and a canape on us!
Step 6: Pay for your order
You will be required to pay your bill to your Booze Bus Tour Guide upon receiving your purchase in Grand Island (liquor cost plus a $20 handling fee) with Canadian dollars in CASH –no US dollars required.
Step 7: Return Home
Bus will return via the Queenston/Lewiston bridge where you will pay taxes & duty at the Canadian border. Don’t worry, we’ll help you fill out the forms.
The bus arrives back to the Canadian border at 10:00am – Round trip takes 3-4 hours.
