Get Ahead of the Alcohol Price Hike with Booze Bus

On April 1st 2023, a 6.3% increase in federal tax on alcohol will be levied on suppliers. While you won’t see this increase on your bill, it will mean alcohol prices are set to go up. With inflation causing the biggest drop in alcohol purchases in a decade, this additional increase will be bad news for fun times. Luckily, Ontarians living in the GTA have FREE access to the Booze Bus—the perfect antidote to high prices and the best way to get cheaper liquor quicker.

Get Liquor Cheaper

Booze Bus prices are around 40% less than those offered by Ontario’s LCBO outlets, (that’s an average of a $1,125 saving!). Even after you pay duties and taxes we still save you 40% off LCBO prices. We buy in volume for our warehouse in Grand Island NY, between Niagara Falls and Buffalo.

The Booze Bus has been established since 2001. We know all the ins and outs of crossing the border, we save you time and effort by helping you with the paperwork, and we load and unload the bus for you.

How Does it Work

The Booze Bus offers FREE return trips to our warehouse in Grand Island NY.

Canadian citizens are legally allowed to purchase up to 45 litres of liquor (your personal importation allowance) when returning from the US.

Simply go online or call us to book your seat on the bus. We have three pick-up points conveniently located around the GTA. We pick you up and take you to our warehouse, you place your order and pay the bill in Canadian dollars, then we load up all the purchases and return you to the pick-up point in as little as three hours from departure time.

You will have to pay duties and taxes at the Canadian Border Services Agency. No US dollars are required and you can pay in cash, credit or debit.

How do I book?

You WILL NOT need pre-entry molecular test (PCR).

All you need is a Canadian Passport and both Covid-19 vaccinations administered at least 14 days before travel. That’s it!

You must be an Ontario resident at least 19 years of age and use that liquor for personal use (no resale permitted).

You must have a reservation as the bus fills up quickly.
